First Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to You! Today was Kayder's first Thanksgiving and he slept right through it. Well, not all of it. As you can see he had a lovely meal of MILK!!! He decided to be lazy and let Uncle Brandon hold the bottle for him. Tayter had a fun time, he would get a little overwhelmed with all of the attention from the kids but he loved the attention. It was nice spending time at Brandon and Katy's for Thanksgiving.

Six Months Already!

Poor little tayter. I got Kaycee's pictures taken every month her first year and then every three months after that, birthday (June), Halloween/Fall (Oct), Christmas (Dec or Jan) and Easter (Aprilish). Poor Kayden has been jipped so today I gathered the kids in the car and took them to get their pictures. I decided the throw the Halloween one in because it is his first Halloween and I missed it. Better late than never. We're only a week or so late!
We only had to wait about an hour and during that time he fell asleep and was awakened to me changing his diaper and outfit for the pictures. He was mad. Luckily he gets over it pretty fast, just like his mama!!
He sat and smiled and followed the lady but as soon as we put the fall background with the leaves he wouldn't look up. He kept trying to grab the leaves. It was so funny to watch. He would grab one spot and realize he couldn't pick them up so he would try in another spot. Then he would get rocking and fall over. He was pretty entertaining. Over all he did such a good job and I have to point out how dang adorable he is. He has his sissy's smile. I LOVE IT!
OH and by the way....at his well-check on Tuesday he weighed 20 lbs and was 28 inches long.

He Got It
Kayden is entranced when we are on the computers. He is always trying to touch it, grab it, hit it. He gets so excited when he sees a computer and just watches intensely as we type on them. If you didn't know already he was born on the first day of summer session, May 5, also cinco de mio (however you spell it). I had the laptop at the hospital doing classwork after having him. So, that is what he is used to I guess.
Anyway, so I walked out of the room for a second to help Kaycee with something and left him wrapped in the blanket, on his back at the top of the bed because we were getting ready to go to bed. Isaac was out of town with school so we were chilling in the bed.. Kaycee watched Arisrocats and I did homework. This is what I came back to. He was so amazed and proud of himself.

The Big Six Months

Wow, today Kayder is 6 months, half of a year. He is such a delight. I love his smile. He is so patient, loving, inquisitive, playful, calm, adorable, patient, calm, did I mention calm and patient? What a little blessing.
We love him to pieces and he brightens our days. I am not a morning person especially if I get woke up, but I have never woke up cranky when I have had to take care of him throughout the night. I actually enjoy it sometimes. Don't' get me wrong I LOVE it when he goes 4-6 hours straight but it doesn't make me cranky when he doesn't. I love waking up to his noises in the mornings. He is so pleasant. He makes so many funny sounds and just lays there playing waiting for me to wake up. Sometimes I bring him into bed if he wakes up around 6AM and he'll sit there pulling and playing with my hair and he just laughs and babbles watching me, waiting for me to wake up. He is the cutest thing ever. I guess I did something right to be blessed with such a delight.
I can't believe how big he is getting. I've been buying him 12 month outfits because he grows out of the others so quickly. This way they are a little big and he can wear them for longer than a week or two. He actually loves to get dressed up. He hates getting ready for the day. Putting the shirt over his head and his arms makes him so mad but when I put a suit and tie on he just smiles the whole time. At least he likes to look nice.
Kayden loves to dance. He keeps a pretty good tempo too. He will pat his hands on his lap to the music and sway back and forth. He especially loves it when his sister and dad sing to him. My favorite part of the day, besides waking up to him, are evenings when we all gather in the covers and Isaac reads to the kids. He absolutely adores his dad and is intrigued whenever he reads, sings, or talks. He already looks up to his daddy. It is adorable.
I adore my two beautiful kiddos. They grow up too fast but I enjoy everyday I have with them. They are a delight.

New Word #3
Kayden mimicked "hi" at about one to two months old. He learned that along with sticking his tongue out. But I've been trying to get him to say the milestone words, "mama" and "dada." Kaycee and I have joked with him for a long time. I would say, "say mama" and then Kaycee would laughed and say, "no, say Kaycee." We would laugh back and forth and tease and I would always wonder, "how long does it take for them to hit this milestone?" WELL, he said.....no, not "dada" like I thought for sure he would. It was "mama!" Along with "buba" which he has been saying for weeks. I don't know where that came from. We've said everything from mama, and dada, to sis sis, and Kaycee. He kept saying "buba" while I was taking pictures of him in his cute little church outfit and then he clenched his fists together, brought them to his mouth and growled, "ba ba ba, MAMA" Then he laughed because Kaycee and I did. Of course it wasn't because he was just wanting to say it. He was hungry and wanted to be fed. He figured that I would stop taking pictures of him and feed him. Duh, buba is bottle!!!! I call his bottle a boba sometimes. Well, there we have it. He was demanding food, now vocally. Well, at least he said "mama" first.
