14 Days Old!

The time has flown by so quickly. I can't believe me baby is almost 3 weeks old already. His due date is this next weekend; that is too strange. I am so glad he is here though. Now I just get to worry about everything else. I don't know about all of you with boys but I think they are much harder than girls. This is a whole new experience for me. The whole diaper changing thing is crazy.

So, I was doing pretty good. He hadn't peed on me yet, he is 14 days old and no peeing, wow! Well, today he got me twice. Once this morning and then just a little while ago. What a stinker. I even had him covered with a wipe and it shot right off. I guess that is a really good sign though because I have been so stressed about his circumcision. Let me tell you how paranoid I am about this. This is a huge deal to me. I worry about everything though.

Anyway, he gained weight at his last visit on Friday. He isn't quite his birth weight but he did gain about 9 oz. since Mother's Day. He now weighs 7 lbs 13 oz. Other than his head he is still a tiny little squirt. I guess it is the Bott head because it is getting pretty big (not too big!)

These are just some cute picts of him chillin' that I've taken throughout the day on my phone. He is such a good baby. He just chills while I do homework. I think the most we've heard him cry was the car ride home yesterday. It was hot and miserable and he was sick of his car seat after a long 8 hour day to and from Spokane. I didn't blame him. It wasn't really crying though, more of whining, then sleeping and then a whale once or twice. He is such a good sleeper too. I hope this continues. It makes it so much easier to do homework. Sometimes I just lay him on my chest while I type away at the computer and he just snoozes the whole time. Other times he is just relaxing in his little bouncer. While I care for Kayden and do homework Isaac getst to hang out with Kaycee. It has been so nice with Isaac having vacation. He and Kaycee just go outside and play and hang out together. I'm glad that they have this time becuase once he starts clinics he won't have time to hang out with her as much.

Kayd is starting to move a lot more and hear and see. I can't get him to quit sitting up. He is as bad as his sister. They were lifting their heads and rolling over from day one. After he was born while we were in the hospital I would look over and he had rolled over with his head against the plastic on the bed. When Kaycee was about 2 weeks old we were moving from Cedar City. I was packing and laid her in the middle of our bed while I packed clothes, the television was on and as I looked over to check on Kaycee she rolled over and was staring at the television. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it for myself.

Kayden lifts his head while I burp him and just stares at me. He rolls too. Last night I guess he was lonely because when I laid him in bed he was in the middle and when I checked on him a couple hours later he was up against the side of the bed, we even have the wedges around him that keep babies from rolling. So, when you see me and I am exhausted it is because I check on him every few minutes at night to make sure he isn't rolling over. Like I said, I worry too much!

I love the pictures. He is soo tiny and cute. What a squirt---er!! You probably don't want Kaycee helping with the diaper changes then, she might be scarred from the experience of him peeing on her.

He is very cute. I love newborns! I wish they would stay little, a little longer.
