Well, I had my 36 week appointment today! Yes, I made it to 36 weeks and now he can come any day. I was a little worried about his size because HELLO Bott boys aren't the smallest. I thought I was going to die with little Kaycee at 7 lbs. 3 oz. Well, she felt around and asked, "what did you say Kaycee weighed?" I told her and she replied, "Well, he feels a little bit bigger than that." WHAT?? You have got to be kidding me bigger than Kaycee's birth weight at 36 weeks. She was even 10 days early. So, a couple weeks ago she said that she would give me some little pointers to help the process along. I forgot to ask but she helped me to progress faster. I feel funny writing it but we'll just say that he can come any day now. I am anxious, very sore and in pain, but relieved.
Oh, and I did buy a whole pineapple which I will be eating. We'll see if that little trick works or just gives me canker sores and a cut up mouth. I don't think I will try to eat the whole thing in one setting my tongue starts to burn after eating a few.

Surprise for Brother!

Kaycee has been really big into surprises lately. I don't know why but she wanted to make the baby a surprise today. I thought it would be a perfect way to put those free baby magazines we get in the mail to use. She got her very first pair of scissors the other day and was excited to be able to use them. She helped cut out pictures and pasted them all on. After we were all done she insisted on hanging it on the fridge for Kayden. What a cutie. This is our/her finished piece of art.

Baby Shower Fun!
Today was so much fun. Tarah and Beth threw me a baby shower for Kayden. It was a lot of fun and he got a lot of very cute gifts. It was really nice to be surrounded by so many good friends and celebrate the baby. We are excited. I think we are ready and prepared to have him. He will be a very well dressed little boy. We have all the necessities, wipes, diapers, clothes, etc. so now we are just waiting on him.
I can't believe I am already 35 weeks, well, to be technical, tomorrow I will be 35 weeks. I am a little nervous but really excited to be able to hold him and watch Kaycee help care for him. She will be such a good big sister.
While we were at the baby shower Isaac took Kaycee to the movies, a daddy daughter date, with Sam and Dan and their kiddos. When I called to tell him we were done they were at McDonalds playing. It sounds like they had a fun time together. It was good for them to spend this time together while Isaac isn't swamped with finals and 4th year.
So, I remembered to take pictures at the end but for some reason they really didn't turn out. These are the only ones that worked out okay.

34 Weeks and Counting
Wow, we are at 34 weeks already. I am pretty anxious but then when I start feeling like I'm in labor I get really worried. Mostly because he would be way too early, but also because there will be a newborn and an almost 3 year old to take care of.

The weekly online updates say that he should be about 4 3/4 pounds, about the size of a cantaloupe, and almost 18 inches long. He feels pretty long and strong. I am reminded with this every time I move, bend over, or he kicks. Bending over is a joke. I remember it was hard with Kaycee full term, but this is difficult already. Kaycee laid farther back then Kayden is. He is way out there making it very hard to do anything. I didn't notice a difference in how I carried them until I tried to pick things up and tie my shoes. Kaycee has been a big help. She is so cute when she tries to help me put my shoes on.
I have been trying to get all of my school work finished before the end of the month. I am pretty much there, I just have to read and study for a quiz and final exam in one class and I am all done. I just finished my last three weekly assignments in my Crop Science class, that is a relief, and have one final unit assignment and I am done!!!
I was excited to have the summer off but when I spoke with my advisor about my final year I found out that the intern preparation course, which is required, is not available next spring so I have to take it in the fall anyway. Well, I chose to, and then I am going to take one class this summer after all just to get it all done by next spring. I don't know where we will end up or what we will be doing. I do however know that I am having a baby so with that in mind I can work around it. The unknown is a little harder to plan around. I think that if I can get a big head start when the class starts in the beginning of May I can relax when Kayden comes and take it slow. After all, I think it would be easier to take it now rather than wait until he is a little older. I did that with Kaycee. I didn't start school until she was a year and that was difficult. I think it will be easier with a 3 year old and an infant. I guess we'll see.

Preregistration!
Today we went to the hospital for a tour and to preregister. It is such a nice birth place. I am excited, they all seem so nice. The set up is really nice too. Too bad we didn't have it this nice when we were in the hospital with Kaycee for over a week. There is a microwave, dvd, mini fridge, jacuzzi tub, and more. I'm excited, it will be a nice experience for both Kayden and myself.
I am happy to be registered. Now we are waiting on him. I can't believe this weekend will be 34 weeks. In some ways the time has flown by, but in others it seems to drag on. I have a few more weeks of school for this semester and after that I think I'm ready for him to come. I worry all of the time. I did with Kaycee too. It will be nice to count his fingers and toes, watch him sleep, and be able to know how he is doing.

Active Again!
Yeah, I have my active baby back again. He had me worried for a few days. He is back to his active self. Well, not as active, I'm sure it is because there is less room in there. He should be about 4 pounds/17 inches long by now, which if he takes after the Bott side he is probably a lot bigger. I hope not. We have an appointment at the hospital tomorrow to preregister and take a tour of the Birth Place. I am excited. It will be nice to see what things are like before we get there. I'm sure it will help me feel more calm.

Slower Movements
So, I've been worried for a few days, but I think it is normal. Kayd moves so much that now that the movements are far and in between I get worried. When he does move I do the kick counts and he moves at least 10 times within an hour but they aren't as strong as they used to be or as often. Usually over the weekends he really slows down so I'm hoping that is all it is. I think I'll wait a day or two and then call.
I can't believe I am already 33 weeks. Wow, it is going fast, but then again it really isn't. I pray he is developing well and comes when he is ready, and me (say about 36 or 37 weeks!)
Kaycee is very excited for her baby brother and so are we!

Sweet Big Sister
So, just like with Kaycee I had to do the three hour glucose test, which turned out to be normal. I was so worried about what I would do with Kaycee. See, they say three hours but it really takes four. I had to wake Kaycee up, which is not pretty. She is so onery and whinny when she doesn't get enough sleep. All I ahd to do was tell her that mommy had to go to the doctors to take a blood test for Kayden and she was up and willing to go.
When we got there she had to sit next to me and watch to see what they did and make sure I was okay. She was such a great help. She was so patient and good. She is so excited for her baby brother.
Later that afternoon was had to go back to the doctors and I asked her if she wanted to stay home with daddy or go to the doctors to listen to baby brothers heart beat. She jumped up from her cartoons, which is a miracle, and grabbed her coat. She said that she wanted to go to the doctors to listen to babies heart. Again, she was patient and such a good girl while we waited in the waiting room. When we got inside she asked if mommy was going to get blood taken again or have to drink the oonange drink. I told her no, just check on brother. She loved holding the instrument to find babies heart beat.
