Seven Months and Growing

My little man is growing so fast. I can't believe he is seven months and it is hard to believe that by next week he will be eight months. He has such an adorable personality. He tries to crawl but gets frustrated so he sticks to rolling. He is a quick roller and grabs everything. He's been trying to pull himself up onto things and can stand while holding onto things. He also loves to play games, blow raspberries, wave, and give kisses.

I'm not big on the naked pictures thing, I think they are cute for others but feel uncomfortable taking nudey pix of my babies. However, after his bath he kept playing and rolling away and wouldn't let me get his diaper on. It was too cute so I snapped a few shots.

Just Like Daddy

My little snoop. He is so much like his daddy.

Ten ways Kayden is like his daddy
1. Calm
2. Happy
3. Loves to bounce and dance
4. Loves music
5. Handsome little devil
6. Loves to make people laugh
7. Loves to eat
8. Loves naps!
9. Brilliant!
10. And a BIG snoop!

Kayden thinks that he is a big boy and pulls off of my lap so tonight when he started doing it again I just let him slide to the floor. He thought the sliding was funny and laughed in excitement that I let him play on the floor. I was talking to Isaac and chatting online with my family when I looked up and found this little cutie under the tree chewing on presents. Isaac usaully shakes the gift. Kayden has his own technique taste and smell.

All I Want For Christmas Are My Two Front Teeth, Or Any

Finally! It isn't like I am excited that he is getting teeth. He has just been teething since 3-4 month. Kayder's poor little gums have been red and swollen on and off for months. He has been whiny and it has totally thrown him off sleeping. For the past month I've been able to see the slits and teeth on the bottom and tops where you can tell they just want to pop out. Now you can not only see the bottom left tooth but you can feel it. One down and three more to go, for now!

Fire Station

For part of Seth's birthday party they had a tour of the fire station. It was such a good idea. Kayden had no idea what was going on. He was more intrigued with the floor and other people than he was the trucks. I couldn't get him to look up for pictures he just kept trying to grab the floor or stare at all of the kids. Even though he is cooperating at least I got some fast picts of him.

New Milestone

Tayter waved! It was the cutest thing. The first time he waved was on Saturday. Nana was playing with him and he waved to her. He wouldn't do it after that so I figured it was a fluke but he has done it twice since then. I think he doesn't do it often because he LOVES my reaction. He is savoring it. He is funny because you can tell when he knows how to do something or doesn't and when he is just not doing it because you want him to. He has been like this since he was 2 to 3 months. He gives this little half smile. He knows what is going on.

So, he waves with his fingers, he moves his fingers to wave. The best part is his adorable little smile when he waves. What a cutie. Gotta love him.

First Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to You! Today was Kayder's first Thanksgiving and he slept right through it. Well, not all of it. As you can see he had a lovely meal of MILK!!! He decided to be lazy and let Uncle Brandon hold the bottle for him. Tayter had a fun time, he would get a little overwhelmed with all of the attention from the kids but he loved the attention. It was nice spending time at Brandon and Katy's for Thanksgiving.

Six Months Already!

Poor little tayter. I got Kaycee's pictures taken every month her first year and then every three months after that, birthday (June), Halloween/Fall (Oct), Christmas (Dec or Jan) and Easter (Aprilish). Poor Kayden has been jipped so today I gathered the kids in the car and took them to get their pictures. I decided the throw the Halloween one in because it is his first Halloween and I missed it. Better late than never. We're only a week or so late!

We only had to wait about an hour and during that time he fell asleep and was awakened to me changing his diaper and outfit for the pictures. He was mad. Luckily he gets over it pretty fast, just like his mama!!

He sat and smiled and followed the lady but as soon as we put the fall background with the leaves he wouldn't look up. He kept trying to grab the leaves. It was so funny to watch. He would grab one spot and realize he couldn't pick them up so he would try in another spot. Then he would get rocking and fall over. He was pretty entertaining. Over all he did such a good job and I have to point out how dang adorable he is. He has his sissy's smile. I LOVE IT!

OH and by the way....at his well-check on Tuesday he weighed 20 lbs and was 28 inches long.

He Got It

Kayden is entranced when we are on the computers. He is always trying to touch it, grab it, hit it. He gets so excited when he sees a computer and just watches intensely as we type on them. If you didn't know already he was born on the first day of summer session, May 5, also cinco de mio (however you spell it). I had the laptop at the hospital doing classwork after having him. So, that is what he is used to I guess.

Anyway, so I walked out of the room for a second to help Kaycee with something and left him wrapped in the blanket, on his back at the top of the bed because we were getting ready to go to bed. Isaac was out of town with school so we were chilling in the bed.. Kaycee watched Arisrocats and I did homework. This is what I came back to. He was so amazed and proud of himself.

The Big Six Months

Wow, today Kayder is 6 months, half of a year. He is such a delight. I love his smile. He is so patient, loving, inquisitive, playful, calm, adorable, patient, calm, did I mention calm and patient? What a little blessing.

We love him to pieces and he brightens our days. I am not a morning person especially if I get woke up, but I have never woke up cranky when I have had to take care of him throughout the night. I actually enjoy it sometimes. Don't' get me wrong I LOVE it when he goes 4-6 hours straight but it doesn't make me cranky when he doesn't. I love waking up to his noises in the mornings. He is so pleasant. He makes so many funny sounds and just lays there playing waiting for me to wake up. Sometimes I bring him into bed if he wakes up around 6AM and he'll sit there pulling and playing with my hair and he just laughs and babbles watching me, waiting for me to wake up. He is the cutest thing ever. I guess I did something right to be blessed with such a delight.

I can't believe how big he is getting. I've been buying him 12 month outfits because he grows out of the others so quickly. This way they are a little big and he can wear them for longer than a week or two. He actually loves to get dressed up. He hates getting ready for the day. Putting the shirt over his head and his arms makes him so mad but when I put a suit and tie on he just smiles the whole time. At least he likes to look nice.

Kayden loves to dance. He keeps a pretty good tempo too. He will pat his hands on his lap to the music and sway back and forth. He especially loves it when his sister and dad sing to him. My favorite part of the day, besides waking up to him, are evenings when we all gather in the covers and Isaac reads to the kids. He absolutely adores his dad and is intrigued whenever he reads, sings, or talks. He already looks up to his daddy. It is adorable.

I adore my two beautiful kiddos. They grow up too fast but I enjoy everyday I have with them. They are a delight.

New Word #3

Kayden mimicked "hi" at about one to two months old. He learned that along with sticking his tongue out. But I've been trying to get him to say the milestone words, "mama" and "dada." Kaycee and I have joked with him for a long time. I would say, "say mama" and then Kaycee would laughed and say, "no, say Kaycee." We would laugh back and forth and tease and I would always wonder, "how long does it take for them to hit this milestone?" WELL, he said.....no, not "dada" like I thought for sure he would. It was "mama!" Along with "buba" which he has been saying for weeks. I don't know where that came from. We've said everything from mama, and dada, to sis sis, and Kaycee. He kept saying "buba" while I was taking pictures of him in his cute little church outfit and then he clenched his fists together, brought them to his mouth and growled, "ba ba ba, MAMA" Then he laughed because Kaycee and I did. Of course it wasn't because he was just wanting to say it. He was hungry and wanted to be fed. He figured that I would stop taking pictures of him and feed him. Duh, buba is bottle!!!! I call his bottle a boba sometimes. Well, there we have it. He was demanding food, now vocally. Well, at least he said "mama" first.

Orange Food for Halloween

I didn't even realize this until I started posting. Kayden tried carrots today, orange on Halloween. Okay, lame I know.

Anyway, at first he wasn't sure. He made yucky faces but continued to open his mouth and grunt for more. I would give him more and with each bite the scowl would soften. He loves food and loves to make a mess with it.

I can't believe how fast my little bug is growing.

He is fed, happy, clean and fast asleep.

Trick-or-Treat Tayder Bug

How exciting. Kayden's first Halloween and he has had a blast so far. He actually loves his octopus costume and thinks he is cute in it, which he is. We had a playgroup Halloween party this morning that they had a blast at. Well, Kaycee mostly. Kayden fell asleep. The parts that he was awake for he enjoyed. He loved watching how excited sis was and watching all the kids run around in the gym.

I was excited that he could finally wear his cute little costume. When Kaycee said that she wanted to be a mermaid a couple months ago I began searching for costumes for Kayden. I thought about Flounder but when I found this one I had to buy it. He is adorable. It has been sitting in his closet for over a month and now he gets to wear it. We finally got Kaycee's mermaid costume thrown together the night before we left Utah. We were so busy with baby showers and interviews that we didn't have any time. I've had the fabric sitting around for weeks just waiting to be sewn. Thanks mom, she makes a pretty cute mermaid.

Happy First Halloween Tayder Bug!!!

New Food and Funny Faces

Kayden LOVES food! It has been so hard to keep him satisfied. He is happy when I add a couple ounces fo milk but by the next week he wants more. He isn't a huge boy either. He just has a crazy appetite. He has been downing 4-6 ounces every two hours so while we were in Utah I started giving him cereal, which he loved. When we got home I had to give him some juice because he eats so much cereal he was getting constipated. He didn't even flinch when I gave it to him. He loved it. He also loved the oatmeal and today we started him on peas. He made weird faces but wanted more with each bite. I think the weird faces were because Kaycee would get the spoon too far. What a piggy. I couldn't imagine it whenever friends would say that thier boys ate so much, boy now I can. He eats SOOO much and is SOOO messy. Kaycee was so clean and petite about eating. Little bites, small amounts and never needed a bib. I need an apron for him and have to bath him after each meal. I also need to cover everything around him becuase somehow he gets it on the chair, his lap, the couch, the floor, EVERYWHERE. It is so much fun watching him eat though. Kaycee had fun feeding him today. I had to make mmmm sounds to get Kaycee to try new things. So now she still makes that sound when she eats. I have never had to make that sound with Kayden and from day one he has made that sound. Oh no, now it runs in the family!
