Surprise!

Kayden has been potty-training for MANY months now. He does awesome and then we are back to diapers. He is SO lazy! Anyway, I couldn't find him today and heard a little noise in the bathroom. This is what I found in Isaac's bathroom.

Kayden's Treasures!

Isaac found Kayden shoving crap in the heater vent in our bedroom. He decided to pull it out and see what else he has put down it. Jack pot; there's all my change! What a pack rat, or just a pain in the butt!

Go To Bed!!!

Kayden loves reading books. We try to read more at bedtime, which they love. Along with reading he is pretty good at going to bed at night but Kaycee has BIG struggles. He is always saying "taytee, go to bed." I found this cute book by Mercer Mayer, Just Go To Bed, and he LOVES it. He repeats along side of me "go to bed." It is so cute. Tonight this time was more fun because now when I would ask where something was, for instance, "where's the mouse" he would point it out and say, "mouse." He is talking so well it is so much fun to hear him repeat things back. He had so much fun pointing things out and talking about the pictures, especially going to bed and daddy. At the end of the story he said, "go to bed," "the end!" What a big boy.

I wish I had a better picture. I had to hurry and take a pic with my phone as he was moving the book reading it again. I had to include some kind of picture with how cute he is.

Daddy's Helper

Kaycee went to Young Women's with me last night. We had New Beginnings and this is what we came home to....

Super cute. Isaac brought his computer home from work and he set up a little desk in the bedroom for it. Kayden found Kaycee's bedtime eye covers and used it as his safety goggles. He used his little Handy Manny tools, along with some real ones when dad wasn't looking.

Such a Big Boy going potty!

When Kaycee was 15 months old she was VERY interested in the whole potty thing. She was potty trained (semi) by the time she was 18 months old. Kayden HATES the potty. Every time I've tried to get him to use it he would just scream and hide. Well, we tried it again. The first potty chair we got him wasn't the greatest. The little cushion was smaller than his bum. So I just went and bought the cover that goes on the big toilet last week. He liked it and would sit on it and play with the toilet paper roll. However, this week is a whole new story. As soon as he wakes up I put him on the toilet and he has gone potty every morning. He gets so excited. Strangely his diapers have been dry in the mornings. Hmmm! Hopefully that is a sign, probably not though. At least he likes it and is getting used to the feeling so he is aware of what he is supposed to do on the potty. Yippy! I figure if he starts now he will be potty-trained by 4!!! j/k He is doing awesome though.

This morning we went into the bathroom but Kaycee was going potty. She said she was done so we took off his diaper and headed in. She wasn't. While waiting for her to finish he started wetting on the floor, BUT stopped. He realized what was going on. Then he finished in the toilet. What a big boy. I am so proud of him. I seriously didn't think he would be even trying until after he was two.

Oh, he also LOVES to read on the toilet!

Growing Boy!

I can't believe how busy we have been and what a slacker I have been with the kids blogs.

Kayden is getting so big!!!! He is wearing 3-4 size clothes. He loves to jabber and beat on his sister. He flies up and down the stairs like a bolt of lightning. I really need to time him, he is the fastest I've ever seen. He has, what's it called, whatever it is called he tunes out his mom like a champ. It DRIVES me CrAzY!!!! He LOVES to push everyones buttons and oh boy does he know how. He is too smart for his own good. When he is not tuning me out he is a champ and great helper. He listens very well and follows directions when he is tuning in. He is going to be our little pitcher/baseball player. He loves to throw things and is VERY good at it. His most favorite toy at this time are the oranges. He loves to stand on the top of the stairs and throw them down the stairs. He also stands at the top in the dining room and throws them over the railing into the living room. No matter how many times he gets into trouble for it he is right back doing it as soon as we turn our heads. He is still our little love-bug though.

His new favorite past time is pointing out everyones "eye" and "noe". He can't just point at the eyes and nose, he has to push on them.

He loves people and making new friends and has such a blast at child care. He knows the routine every morning and is so excited to get ready to go to Heidi's. We drop sister off first and he gets more excited kicking his feet in the backseat, them jumping up and down as we pull into Heidi's driveway, squeeling. He is pulling his arms out of his carseat before I get him unbuckled. It is so cute to watch him prance up her sidewalk to ring the door bell. He stops at the door as she opens it just long enough to try to take his shoes off and off he runs to play with his friends. Too cute! I hope he is just as excited going to KOTM with me. I know he'll love it just as much or more. I know I will because he will be getting more structure and recieve education at the same time.
