He did it!!!

Kayden just walked from the middle of the room to the couch. He was standing up watching SpongeBob with Kaycee while I was working on my final on the laptop at the kitchen table. I saw movement and glanced over to see him carefully walk to the couch and look at me with a surprised look. He was surprised that he made it without falling. It was adorable. He has done a couple of steps but this was like three feet. Go Kayder!

New Words.....

...Fun and scary!

Kayden gets into EVERYTHING. He is such the boy. So in our house it is always, "no Kayden" this and "no Kayden" that. So, of course one of his first words, of several, is "no". This whole last week and weekend he has been perfecting it. It is the cutest thing though. Well, last night he was crawling around in the kitchen with his head down...(first of all there are two places that I cannot stand to have my children play in. They are dirty no matter how clean; the kitchen and the bathroom)...anyway, so he is being cute crawling and before I can go grab him I hear, "na tayda" He said "no Kayden" and when he saw me coming he booked it out of the kitchen into the living room laughing the whole way. It was hilarious!!! He has got the funniest, and most joyous personality, unless he is sick and he is so whiny. But, what kid isn't!

Anee

I was talking to my sister Amy on the phone and kept trying to get Kayden to talk. He just watched and smiled as Kaycee and I talked to her. He would do a cute little shy smile when we put the phone up to his ear. Towards the end of the converstaion I was in the hallway and Kayden started walking along the couch to me and said, "Anee." It was the cutest thing. I squeeled and hugged him saying good job you said Amy, even though I figured it was a coincidence. Then I put the phone up to his ear and he said it again. This time she heard it. She had thought I said it in the phone. He was so proud of himself and so were we.

Little Sleep Crawler

I am up late doing homework and other stuff that has been neglected from staying at the hospital with Isaac and all of the sudden I hear a rustling of papers. Little Boug (booger and bug!) crawled out of his room in search for me (with his eyes closed even). Now he is lounging on my lap sleeping.

You are probably wondering why he was crawling out of his room. The kids wanted to camp out on their floor. Kayden was out first and Kaycee fell asleep with her arm around him. Then a few minutes later he had rolled into her and was laying on her shoulder. They are too cute together. I need to take a picture next time.

Poor Baby

Kayden has been fighting one illness after another for the past three months. His top left tooth is just giving him the fits and making him more susceptible to all of the sickness. For the past couple weeks we have been fighting ear infections and yeast infection. As soon as his antibiotic was done he spiked a fever of 102 that lasted even with medicine. Last night it spiked to 103.4. I took him into ready care the next morning. He had to miss his Easter egg hunt at the center but we were able to take Kaycee to class so she could enjoy it and I could take him in alone. With Tylenol his fever dropped to 102. We were pleasantly surprised when his doctor Jamie snuck in to care for him. We were happy to see that he might get Brad but she snuck in before he got the chance. We love both of them, and for those of you who do not know, they are husband and wife. Anyway, she listened to his hearts and lungs and ordered a chest xray.

We took him to the lab in the back and he was such a big boy. He sat straight up and directly into the light and smiled for the camera. He thought he was getting his pictures taken. It was the cutest thing. I guess he was but a different kind of picture. He held the little apron they put over his lap and sat up straight and tall and held VERY still. It was adorable. We went back to his room and found out that he has Viral Pneumonia. Poor little guy. After his first dose of medicine he was doing a million times better. Our hopes are that it can only get better!

11 Months

My little guy is already 11 months old. It goes by too fast. I think the week before he turned 11 months he finally became vocal with babbling. Before he used to just stare and smile and soak everything in. Now he is talking (babbling) back and forth with his sister, trying to talk to us and communicate his thoughts and feelings. He is very vocal not only with his mouth but his body language as well. He must get that from me. It has to be the Italian side of it. We can't communicate without our hands. It really is a must!!!

He is getting so good at walking. He takes a couple steps here and there but is timid so he plops down and crawls. He is a speedy crawler. He just picked that up this past week. He is our little Lightning McQueen.

He has pottied on the potty a couple of times and thinks it is the funniest and biggest thing in the world. He doesn't understand what is going on but he is so proud of himself and so are we.
