Orange Food for Halloween

I didn't even realize this until I started posting. Kayden tried carrots today, orange on Halloween. Okay, lame I know.

Anyway, at first he wasn't sure. He made yucky faces but continued to open his mouth and grunt for more. I would give him more and with each bite the scowl would soften. He loves food and loves to make a mess with it.

I can't believe how fast my little bug is growing.

He is fed, happy, clean and fast asleep.

Trick-or-Treat Tayder Bug

How exciting. Kayden's first Halloween and he has had a blast so far. He actually loves his octopus costume and thinks he is cute in it, which he is. We had a playgroup Halloween party this morning that they had a blast at. Well, Kaycee mostly. Kayden fell asleep. The parts that he was awake for he enjoyed. He loved watching how excited sis was and watching all the kids run around in the gym.

I was excited that he could finally wear his cute little costume. When Kaycee said that she wanted to be a mermaid a couple months ago I began searching for costumes for Kayden. I thought about Flounder but when I found this one I had to buy it. He is adorable. It has been sitting in his closet for over a month and now he gets to wear it. We finally got Kaycee's mermaid costume thrown together the night before we left Utah. We were so busy with baby showers and interviews that we didn't have any time. I've had the fabric sitting around for weeks just waiting to be sewn. Thanks mom, she makes a pretty cute mermaid.

New Food and Funny Faces

Kayden LOVES food! It has been so hard to keep him satisfied. He is happy when I add a couple ounces fo milk but by the next week he wants more. He isn't a huge boy either. He just has a crazy appetite. He has been downing 4-6 ounces every two hours so while we were in Utah I started giving him cereal, which he loved. When we got home I had to give him some juice because he eats so much cereal he was getting constipated. He didn't even flinch when I gave it to him. He loved it. He also loved the oatmeal and today we started him on peas. He made weird faces but wanted more with each bite. I think the weird faces were because Kaycee would get the spoon too far. What a piggy. I couldn't imagine it whenever friends would say that thier boys ate so much, boy now I can. He eats SOOO much and is SOOO messy. Kaycee was so clean and petite about eating. Little bites, small amounts and never needed a bib. I need an apron for him and have to bath him after each meal. I also need to cover everything around him becuase somehow he gets it on the chair, his lap, the couch, the floor, EVERYWHERE. It is so much fun watching him eat though. Kaycee had fun feeding him today. I had to make mmmm sounds to get Kaycee to try new things. So now she still makes that sound when she eats. I have never had to make that sound with Kayden and from day one he has made that sound. Oh no, now it runs in the family!

Fun at the Zoo

Kayden fell asleep on the way and while we were in the zoo I realized that we wanted him to sleep on the trip home so I woke him up. I am glad that I did. Even though he didn't have a clue what was going on he had an enjoyable time. He watched the kids and squeeled with delight the whole time.

Kayden was happy to get out of his tigger coat. I thought that it was going to be cold but the weather was really nice. Poor kid was getting too war.

Big Boys and Girl

The kiddos are getting so big. It was good to see everyone before Caleb and Char go to England for 6 months for school.

Everyone went to Castle Dale for the deer hunt and thankfully everyone that got a tag shot their deer on Saturday, even Rebekah!!! They got them pretty early in the day even. Kaycee has been counting down days until she could "shoot a deer", go to Amys baby shower, and it be Halloween. She wasn't to excited to see a dead deer but thought it was cool that they got three of them. She didn't like the blood. That is all she said, "yuck, it is dripping blood mom."

Big 5 Months!

Kayder is five months already. He is such a happy little guy. Everyday he gets more vocal. I love how he plays with his hands and just babbles and giggles. He loves to blow raspberries and stick out his tongue. He thinks he is so funny. We do too! He loves to watch and play with Kaycee. Everytime I try to put him down for a nap or to sleep if he hears her voice he is wide awake looking for her and ready to play. His hair is finally growing too. You can kind of see in the first picture. We can spike it and it reaches his ears now. Our baldy has fuzz!!! He is such a delight.

A few things we get to look forward to. Oh yippy.

He is teething, scooting (he can push off with his feet and pulls with his arms but his upper body strength isn't so good), can sit up half way on his own from flat on the floor and all the way when he is on a pillow. He loves to sit up and can stay sitting for a little while He is screaming, fighting with sister (when she frustrates him he yells at her and pulls her hair), holds his own bottle (depending on his mood), can sometimes undo his diaper (he grabs at it and has been successful while I'm changing him or when he doesn't have close on), he has quite the little personality and attitude. Usually he is very calm but when he wants something we have to act fast or he throws tantrums just like sis. He loves to roll over and chill on his tummy. He has got some pretty strong little legs. i knew he would because when he kicked me in the womb it hurt pretty bad. Along with all of it his smile melts our hearts. He has the biggest smile and is always so happy (most the time).

Because we sang Happy B-day for his five months Kaycee thinks it is her birthday next, tomorrow. She said that her birthday is after brothers. Well, it is, but not for 7 months. She is a kook.

Ready, Set, Go!

Kayden tried crawling today, well scooting. He can't get his chest up off of the bed so he burries his face in the blankets as he tries to push off. I wish I had still pictures. I got videos but I don't know how to add them. Whenever I try they don't work out. Ever since we started tummy time around 2 months he has grabbed the blankets and tried pulling himself to move but today he got his bummy up as well and actually moved an inch. He keeps licking my arm and laughing as I am typing. He makes a funny face, like a yucky face, then he licks it again and laughs. He is getting such a fun personality. I have a video of Kaycee and him trying to out scream one another and laughing. It is the funnest thing.

I tried to add the video. I hope it works.
