Big Sister REALLY Helps

I almost forgot about this until I was looking through older photos, well June! I can't remember the exact date but it is in a file labeled June 25th so it was either that day or close enough.

From the beginning Kaycee has been a big help and always wants to pitch in. She is always asking to change Kayder's poopy diapers so this time she would not give up just by getting the wipes and clean diaper. I said "okay." I figured that she would get to the smelly diaper and stop. No, she kept going. She cleaned the poopy bum, put the dry diaper on, buttoned him up and even threw the dirty one away. I helped of course and made sure it wasn't a yucky experience for her or Kayden. These are some pictures that I got. It was too cute how she unbuttoned and buttoned his outfit.

So, this is how to story went. Kaycee was writing a postcard to her Aunt Amy because she missed our trip to Coeur d'lene and Kayden was being grumpy. I checked him and he was stinky so I went to change his diaper when she jumped up screaming "I want to do it, I'm a big helper." I always say "I will change the poopy diapers but you can help get the wipes and diaper." She wouldn't settle for this this time so there she is trying to change his diaper.

I actually took over when I realized that she was really going to do it. I let her help more when most of the poop was clean and then she help fastened the clean diaper and button up his outfit. Then she wanted to hold him and he just laid staring into her eyes as she talked to him.

I think this was a plea for help. "No, mom, are you seriously going to let her change me?"

This is when I took over because I realized she was really going to do it. She graciously gave him to me and kissed him on the forehead.

Snapping him up! Well, trying to.

They are too cute together! He adores his big sister.

Elder Nickolas Callor

We took Nick to the MTC today. It is official with name tag and all, he is a missionary. It was cute...he was able to hold Kayden during the missionary presentation and Kayder was calm. It is a good thing. I would have felt bad if he wasn't because he'll be 2 the next time he sees Nick. Wow, that is crazy.

Check out the "Dork Dot" (this is what we called it in the MTC. New missionaries get this dot the first day).

If you don't know why he is posing this way, pay closer attention to the background.

Nick wanted to go to a Japanese restaurant but they didn't open until later and his second choice, Chuck-O-Rama, didn't open until 11AM, he had to be to the MTC by 11:30AM, so we stopped at McDonald's to grab a bite to eat before taking Nick to the MTC. Kayden just hung out in his car seat. He was Elder Callor's companion for the morning.

Kayden was just chilling, missing Uncle Nick, in Aunt Sara's arms. He was reminiscing of the days events! Just kidding.

Day at Great Grandpas w/ Nickel Pickel

Before Nick went into the MTC tomorrow we went to Grandpa and Grandma Callors house in Helper. This is the first time they have seen Kayden, besides in pictures.

It was cute. When we walked up onto the porch Grandpa reached out for Kayden. This is a first.

As you can see Kayden sleeps through everything!!! Well, almost everything,

Nick went through Grandma Saikiko's families still in Japan so he could keep up his Japenese by writing to them.

The famous Balance Rock in Helper.

Hayden & Kolby, Kaycee & Kayden

We met Kolby for the first time on our trip to Utah. Kolby was born around the 13th of April and Kayden was born on the 5th. Not as close in age as Hayden and Kaycee (June 4th and June 6th) but pretty close. No, it was not planned, either one. I guess great minds think alike!!!

It was fun seeing the kids and spending some time chatting with Marie. We haven't been able to have these playdates since they moved from Moscow about two years ago.

It is pretty crazy to see the similarities in the boys. I think Kolby and Kayden have the same eyes. They look different but then there is a likeness. Pretty cute little boys if I do say so myself! And of course the two oldest kids are adorable too!!
