Proud Day for Baby

Poor little Kayden has been constipated for three days, poor thing. This wouldn't be a big deal but I change this kids diapers at least 4 times during the night and at least 16 times within a 24 hour period. No kidding. Kaycee never went that much. Every time he had a wet diaper I was guaranteed some poo too. Then all of the sudden nothing. Too strange. Boy did his toots stink though. Holy cow, you would think that he was eating solids it was so bad. Anyway, he started fussing while in his swing and I picked him up and could smell that he pooped. Think that it was the usual amount I slowly picked him up and went did a few things on the computer. He was so antsy that I went in and changed him. WOW! Let me say it again, WOW! It was three days worth of poo. Sixteen times three days of poo and it kept coming. I went through a whole box of wipes, the little boxes of about 30 wipes. I had to put him in the tub. Three days all waitin to come out and BAM it was a doosy! He was so happy to have pooped and be all clean. He is just swinging away making little cooing sounds of joy. What a proud day for the little guy. I would have taken pictures but that is a little too much for even me. Sorry those that are sadden by the lack of picture, maybe next time :)

Not Too Fun

Well, so much for my calm little guy who sleeps all of the time and stares and soaks in the world. He has been sick and his nose has been full of snot. This has not been fun. It isn't with an older baby and toddler but it definalty is not fun with an newborn/infant. He has had this stuffy nose for almost three weeks now and it seems to be getting worse. We have gone through a bottle of nose drops already. There were times that I could give him the drops wihtout suctioning his nose but it is so stuffy now that neither one works not even together most of the time. Let me tell you, so much for my calm little guy. He always wants to be held and needs attention becuase he deons't feel good. He is still a good little baby it is just difficult to hold him all of the time and do homework and play with Kaycee. Poor guy can't sleep because he gets woken up from his air getting cut off from all of the snot. I thought I was sleep derprived from giving birth and his feeding schedule. I think I get about 30 minutes of sleep every 3 hours. I feed and burp him, which takes about 30-45 minutes depeding on the burping. Then he falls asleep and grunts and struggles breathing from his nose. I suction the nose, use the nose drops and it may clear up a bit and then it gets stuffy again. We go through this routine and it is feeding time all over again. Somewhere in there while burping him I wake up and realize I fell asleep. Don't worry I am prepared. I lay back on the couch and prop pillows under my arms so there is not way he rolls off if I do fall asleep. I learned this trick with Kaycee. This is how we had to sleep for the first 3 months because she had colic bad.

DOn't get me wrong. I am not complaining. I think however that everyone may think we fell off the face of the earth because we haven't seen anyone forever. Because of lack of sleep we do this routine until about 11 or 12 and then don't get our day started until about 1 or 2pm. Not only has he been sick but I got sick on top of that. I feel so lazy but I am so exhausted I can't get off the couch. Now that I am starting to feel better though I'm not as exhausted. Hopefully Kayder starts to get better and no one else gets sick agian.

Mission Call

Congratulations Uncle Nickel Pickel.

His mission papers came in while they were visiting here in Washington and he finally got to open them yesterday for Fathers Day.

The South Dakota Rapid City Mission - He leaves July 16

This is the only picture I could find with both kids. Messy hair and all; he waited up all night in the waiting room taking care of Kaycee waiting for Kayden to come so I guess we can forgive his hair and scruffy face!!!!

The South Dakota Rapid City Mission was organized June 20th 1974 along with the Kentucky Louisville Mission

Fun with Family

My little Tater is already 10 lbs. He is getting chunky. He has three little rolls on his little thighs. They funny thing is is that it is so soft there are just rolls no substance to it. He is a doll. I can't believe he is a month and a week already. They grow way too fast.

Family has been in and out all month and it has been great. My mom, brother and sister just left today and that is strange. We've had a house full all month and now nothing. It was fun to have them but I know that they have a million things to do at home. I know that my brother can't wait any longer to open his mission call. It came in within a week and it has been waiting for him all week. He said that as soon as they get home, no matter the time, he is going to open it and call everyone. I am sure I will be up! They will probably get home around 1 or 2 AM so I don't know how my other siblings will feel but I know Kayden will have us up about that time.

At Play

The weather hasn't been the greatest while my family has been here and my little nephew is only one so I thought that the play place at the Marketplace Mall in Moscow would be fun for the kids. They could run around after being in the car and unwind.

Don't ask who the girl in the stripped shirt in the bear picture is. I have no idea. She just kept popping in and out of our pictures. Where's Waldo?

Four Weeks!

I can't believe that four weeks have flown by already. It seems like yesterday Kayd was born. He is getting such a cute little personality. He gets stronger everyday.

It is so cute he have started reaching out his little arms for things. He is gaining more control of his body. I love how he will grab my finger and hold on to it while he eats and how he will just stare into my eyes and grin. He does this little half smile that will melt your heart.

He is such a calm little guy. When he is fussy I know something is wrong becuase it is not normal. But his fussy is just that he wants to be held.

Oh, my goodness. He is a little grunter. He is so loud. All I hear throuhgout the night is his grunting. When he stops I get worried because it is too quiet.

I've been having to sleep in the living room becuase he gets too loud and I don't want him to wake up Isaac. So, the other night I got him to sleep and he was being so quiet I snuck into the bedroom to sleep, it was around midnight. I thought since he was not making loud noises it would be nice to sleep in my own bed. The minute I laid him in his bed he let out the loudest noises he has made. Poor Isaac. He had to get up very early for school and Kayden woke him up. I tried to get him to quiet down but he just got louder and wouldn't stop. Poor Isaac! So, I picked him up and took him to the living room and he queited right down. He may just hate his bed. He better learn to love it because it was a lot of money.
